It’s been really exciting to see how well received my little magazine project has been. While I understand and appreciate the role that the Internet has played in the recent development of tattooing, I feel like it’s important to maintain a tangible record of my community and the art we produce. I’m not the first person to do this and I certainly won’t be the last but it feels really good to do my part to preserve the present moment.

The single coolest thing that could happen from this project would be for someone to find an artist in their city they’ve never heard of from my publication and book a tattoo with them. Bypassing the algorithm and spreading tattooing to the world in a human way

Currently I’m planning on putting out an issue of Holistic Tattooing digest every 2 months. I like the black and white homemade swag of the first edition, but from here on out I’ll be having them made professionally, in full color in order to honor the true beauty of tattoos. I love color tattoos!
